History of Tom Quick Inn

First European settler in the Delaware was Thomas Quick Sr. who is the father of Tom Quick. He is originally from Holland and in 1733 migrated to America to settle near the Inn. He initially started through a number of mills like the Log cabin, sawmill, grist mill, and so on. Tom Quick Inn in the initial days was basically two different Inns namely the Terwillinger House Circa established in 1880 and the Centre Square house built in 1882. Only in the 1940s, both these Inns were combined and renamed as the Tom Quick Inn. The Inn was received by the locals with great appreciation for their food and hospitality. It became an instant success as people enjoyed their food and very soon became the landmark hotel in Milford.

The Inn was a best hangout spot in those days with many locals spending time at the Inn which had a good ambience and also food. The Port Jervis Community which had many of the socialites as the members found the Inn to be a great place. The Inn is located in a very beautiful scenic environment along the Minisink Valley that adds more to its attraction. The socialites from the Port Jervis Community would ride their cycle all through the valley and halt at the Tom Quick Inn for food. The Inn was owned and manages by Dick and Pam Lutfy for 28 long years. Some management problems led to the closure of the Inn.

The New Tom Quick Inn

The Tom Quick Inn is to reopen with pomp and grand by the Lutfy Family known for their excellent service in the hospitality sector. The hotel rooms have been fully renovated and are open for occupancy. The rooms are so designed that they satisfy the requirements of the newer generation of guests.
